It's been a great couple of weeks. I met with Joan Collins and her lovely daughter Tara to choose a wedding dress. My Dad was very excited about this and my Mum got jealous which I thought was proof that marriages can still remain passionate well into your 70s! Tara looked great in everything and is coming back without the camera crew to choose something later.

We shot our new campaign last week with Josh Olins (photographer), at a wonderful historic building in deepest Deptford. Hectic day but we had a great team and the results were divine. I am deeply into the barefoot Countessa look. (Don't confuse this with the cookery programme on the food channel - it was in fact a glamourous Fifties film with Ava Gardner).

Most romantic news of the week. A dear friend of mine has just got engaged. His girlfriend is a music teacher at a school in Chelsea. It was the end of year music concert and the whole school was gathered, kids, teachers and parents. As the last note was struck Richard made for the stage and dropped on one knee and a magic moment was made. I thought that only happened in films. There probably is a film...
