Went to the designer Wedding Dress Sale on Saturday at The Thistle with my daughters. Our apptment was for 3pm and we queued for 11/2 hours in a corridor with 100s of other people! When we finally got in there was a v. limited selection of gowns. Each person was allowed to try on a maximum of 5. Dresses were £800 upwards. Many of the dresses were soiled with make up. The changing room was a large open room with large mirrors around the outside - no curtains up and no chance of any privacy. A total and utter "lash up"!
Come on, get real. When you think that dresses from the likes of Caroline Castigliano, Christiana Couture, Fabio Gritti, Galit Levi, Jenny Packham et al can sell for thousands of pounds, queuing and a lack of privacy are the price you pay for a discounted wedding dress.
