I'm incredibly excited to be Brides' guest blogger for the next eight weeks! I've been working with the magazine - and of course you, its reader - for many years, and it's great to have a chance to talk to you directly and tell you about my designs and plans for the next year. The last year has been incredibly exciting - I opened a new shop in Cheshire to add to my two shops in London. As well as my bridal range I've been designing my evening wear collection, which you may have seen on last year's X Factor contestant Ruth Lorenzo.
More recently, I was commissioned to design Danielle Bux's wedding dress for her wedding to Gary Lineker. The press coverage came out last week and I thought she looked sensational. I have been designing dresses for as long as I can remember, and have always emphasised the wearer's curves and figure in all of my designs. I was therefore particularly delighted to work with Danielle. Not only is she naturally beautiful, but she has that perfect feminine shape, and so I designed her dress to enhance this.
The best part for me was that she stayed with our classic look - a beautifully fitted gown in simple ivory silk satin with a corseted top and sweetheart neckline. A perfectly tailored but simple dress is often more flattering than a fussier design which can overpower your look. Besides, the excitement and romance of the occasion will more than add to your radiance on the day!
We thought that Danielle looked so incredible in our gowns, we asked her to model for our latest campaign, for the new Royal collection. As with all of our dresses, the Royal collection focuses on luxurious, sumptuous fabrics and immaculate detailing with a perfected fit. I think this is the formula for the dream wedding gown.
I'd love to hear from you, if you have any questions on buying your dress, do let me know!
