It's often the little details that help make your wedding - and if you can't get them right it can be equally as infuriating as not finding the perfect dresses. When planning a wedding there is nothing more gratifying than ticking off things on that enormous TO DO list you no doubt have.
I hit a wall when it came to my flowergirls' shoes. I was exhausted with dealing with what I thought were more important things - my dress, the church, the flowers - and all I felt like doing was sticking them (poor little things!) in any old pair. Of course that's not what I actually wanted as at the end of the day everything must be perfect as everything must come together as one look - your look.
I am often asked where to find baby shoes for very young flowergirls. Last week I was inspired by Smythson's gorgeous pair of lambskin white boot shoes - brand new to their collection (£70 www.smythson.com). These are ideal for tiny flowergirls (and even page boys!). The other place to go for these is the fantastic online store Adorable Little Things (www.adorablelittlethings.co.uk) who do great baby shoes and gorgeous children's accessories in general.
For older flower girls (from two upwards) Bhs (www.bhs.co.uk) and Monsoon (www.monsoon.co.uk) do great shoes that are cute and very affordable. If you want to spend a little bit more try Papillon (www.papillon4children.com) who do lovely traditional styles and Bloch for more fun, trend-led styles. (www.blochshoes.com)
