London Just Got Sweeter

It's been a sugary week. The Brides office is never short of one thing - cupcakes! Yes odd as it may sound we seem to have a continuous supply of them be it gifts or passed on from shoots. Last week I had a huge photo shoot and found myself needing a cupcake or two. I called on the Fairy Godmother of cupcake companies - The Primrose Bakery whose clientele includes just about every single London A-lister you can think of.
When it came to choosing I was more than impressed with the huge choice on offer. Who'd ever thought so many different icing flavours and colours existed - from plain but yummy vanilla, chocolate and coffee to lime and coconut buttercream - with an even greater array of cake flavours: honey and granola, Mars bar, peanut butter, rose and chocolate liqueur are some of the more interesting ones.
They arrived at the shoot beautifully packaged in the prettiest of pastel colours decorated with flowers and I can tell you, once they'd been shot there was no holding back. Everyone had a bite... absolutely delicious! We all said what a brilliant alternative they are to a traditional wedding cake.
The Primrose Bakery does indeed offer a wedding cake service, delivering within London and the Southeast. Otherwise you can just pick it up and they will pack it securely for you. If you are wondering how on earth you are going to make a 'cake' out of cup cakes fear not, the bakery has a selection of tiers available to hire so all you need to do is pop them up and hey presto - you've got one very cool looking (and delicious) cake! Ideally it is suggested you visit the shop for a consultation as wedding cakes are very personal and rather excitingly they have also just opened their second store in Covent Garden.

Cupcakes from £1.25 for minis and £1.85 for regular. Hire of tiers is from £35 to be returned in 2-3 days.
