As the wedding date for Katy Perry and Russell Brand draws ever nearer, the speculation grows as to whether Brand, the former sex addict and renowned womaniser, can remain faithful. His response to whether he is capable of monogamy has been: "I have a powerful curiosity about women, but I'm getting married and I'm cool with that." Not exactly the stuff of great romance. He also told The Mirror: "You have to be faithful. That's one of the things about this institution of marriage I've recently had explained to me by my wife. And I don't have a problem with that. I'm really, really in love."
The couple have planned a non-religious ceremony in India for October this year, although Katy, a daughter of two pastors, intends to incorporate some spiritual elements. Sixty members of family and close friends will attend the wedding and the lucky guests will be treated to pre-arranged private safaris around a nearby tiger game reserve. The bride-to-be has not yet been specific about her choice of dress although says she would like something feminine and traditional, and nothing too out of place with their Indian surroundings.
Little else has been revealed about the big day, and the pair are still planning the finer details. Russell is apparently the 'Bridezilla' of the two, as Katy recently told her Twitter followers: "He wants monogrammed everything. He's always buying bride magazines. Every time we go out for breakfast he's like 'Can we just stop and get a bride magazine?'"
Would that be Brides you're buying, Mr Brand?! We hope so.
