Avoid registering for the same gifts as your newly married friends by choosing one of these chic new gift list services. Each company has its own style and depending on your tastes, you can compile a list of homewares that reflect your personality and create a home you'll love living in. Since none of these companies offer electrical items or technological gifts, it's worth registering a second gift list at your favourite department store too.

If you like Eastern-inspired interiors, then you're sure to fall for the dark wood accessories at Lombok. Register for handcrafted accessories, such as the carved wooden photo frame (pictured, from £16) and embossed powder stone tray (£12). It's definitely worth adding a couple of the gorgeous pieces of furniture, so guests can group together and buy you a quality piece that will last. www.lombok.co.uk

For wedding gifts that are totally bespoke, register your list at Mufti. The website is jam-packed with stylish homewares, but the best part is that everything can be customised. We love the idea of having your initials set into a leather blanket box or your names embossed on the case of a giant backgammon board. If you can't find an item or design that quite fits your needs, then they will commission a piece especially for you. www.mufti.co.uk

Summerill and Bishop
At last, my favourite kitchenware shop, Summerill and Bishop, has launched its website, and I'm excited to hear that they offer a gift list service. This is the place for practical and beautiful kitchenware, cookware, ceramics and glassware with a utilitarian feel. The tulip glass storage jars (£18 for 6) are great for gift lists, and I have my eye on the linen lined heart-shaped bread baskets (£19.95 for 2). There are also one-off vintage items, which would make great wedding gifts. www.summerillandbishop.com
