A Welcome Extra

A Welcome Extra

If you're planning a wedding abroad, guests will need to make travel arrangements and organise accommodation so that they can share your day. Show your appreciation and make them feel welcome by making up goodie bags for each guest. Leave these at the hotels where they will be staying so that they receive them as soon as they arrive. Depending on the location, choose items that will make the guests stay more enjoyable. For example, bottles of water, snacks, insect repellent, local guide books are all well worth including if you're having a beach wedding. Include a letter from you and your groom outlining the wedding itinerary so that guests know when and where all the activities will be held. Add to this a local map highlighted with useful information, such as the location of local attractions, details of taxi companies, ATM's and recommended restaurants/bars. If you're looking for smart destination wedding stationery, then check out the collection by top wedding stationer Ananya. www.ananyacards.com; 020 7242 1877.

  • Ananya created our wedding stationery, including the welcome letter featured here. Our guests loved the idea of getting the letters when they checked in together with a welcome pack. Vaishali at Ananya is extremely talented and had great ideas and creations. We continue to use Ananya for our bespoke stationery.

  • Welcome notes are a great idea! It makes guests feel more involved with the day and adds a great personal touch to the day. Ananya's designs are lovely.
