If wedding planning is getting the better of you, indulge a little with an evening of diamonds, champagne and chocolates. Star Jewellers in London's famous Hatton Garden are hosting 'Rocks and Chocks,' a chance to sip bubbly, learn about the fundamentals of wedding jewellery and take part in a tasting session with chocolatier Kirsty Joly and her 'Perfectly Tempered' artisan chocolates. Brides was lucky enough to be invited to the last session and had a great evening chatting to engaged couples, mothers and daughters and friends in a fun and informal setting. We listened intently as Adrian, the studio manager, gave us a lesson on the all important 4Cs, talked the group through wedding band options and put right a few misconceptions many of us had about the different precious metals and their benefits. The lovely Kirsty Joly then introduced us to her delicious chocolates, first dark ganache with the subtlest hint of lavender and later white chocolate champagne and strawberry truffles. Both were out of this world, tasty and pretty as a picture - perfect for wedding favours, particularly as Perfectly Tempered offer a bespoke service, catering for anything from individual design to flavour to presentation. The 'ice' on the cake, so to speak, was the freedom with which we could try the diamonds on, with no stuffy unlocking and relocking of cabinets. The next session will be taking place on the 4th August from 6.30pm at Star Jewellers, 70 Hatton Garden, London EC1N 8JT. Anyone interested in attending should call Nicole on 0207 199 2204 for more information about future events.
