Diane Hall, creative director and co-founder of Dower & Hall jewellery, talks about the latest ring trends, recycling old diamonds and styles for all budgets...

What are the latest engagement ring trends?
This year, lots more brides are choosing yellow-gold settings, which is a change from the more traditional white gold and platinum. A member of staff recently got engaged and chose our Dotty three-row diamond ring (pictured), which combines the engagement ring and wedding band in one. It's a fabulous statement piece and you can spend the whole budget in one!

What do you advise for brides on a limited budget?
Our Twinkle rings are reasonably priced, delicate and pretty - 18ct-gold and diamond rings can start from £720. Those on a very limited budget could opt for a silver Twinkle ring with white topaz and upgrade later.

What can you offer to a bride who wants to create something modern from a family ring or gemstone?
We've just launched our Sentiment collection specifically for this. It's a collection of claw-set rings, crafted to bring new life to old jewels. Inherited jewellery has tremendous sentimental value but can be outdated in style. We can now reset your old stones into our new settings, recycling your diamonds into pretty new rings.

Dower & Hall rings range from £720 to £10,000-plus. The brand launches in Harrods this October. For the full list of stockists, visit www.dowerandhall.com.
