Last week the news broke that Croydon's most famous export, Kate Moss, is a married lady, having wed The Kills' front man Jamie Hince in a private ceremony in August. The model and her beau were said to have tied the knot in a small picturesque church by the beach in Sicily, with a handful of close friends in attendance and little Lila Grace taking on the role of ring bearer. Miss Moss set a new trend for church weddings, styling herself in a see-through white gown.
However, the weekend has passed and the notoriously tight-lipped Kate has spoken out, claiming that the marriage was in fact a spiritual blessing and is not legally binding (not Kate's first instance of being the boho bride, having 'wed' Pete Doherty in a Buddhist ceremony on a beach in Thailand in 2007). We're not sure why Kate felt the need to clarify this, we're hoping she doesn't intend on pulling a 'Mick Jagger' - the Rolling Stones front man famously wed Jerry Hall in a similar manner in 1980 and had the marriage annulled nine years later, on the grounds that it was never official. Friends say that Moss is convinced that Jamie is 'The One' and both have been seen proudly bearing a wedding band.
