NET-A-PORTER.COM is launching an exclusive bridal collection with US fashion designer Jason Wu. The new Jason Wu For NET-A-PORTER collection will be sold exclusively online from January 2011, and will sit alongside brands such as Alberta Ferretti, Lela Rose and Temperley London which are currently available from NET-A-PORTER.COM in its Wedding Boutique.

Speaking about his debut bridal wear range, Wu says: "I wanted to create an exclusive bridal collection for NET-A-PORTER that is both youthful and injected with elements of American sportswear which I favour for my collections. The capsule collection includes wonderful options for a bride but also has a relaxed attitude with pieces that can be worn to other occasions."

The Jason Wu For NET-A-PORTER range is ideal for the modern bride looking for something traditional but with a contemporary twist, and will comprise of five ivory coloured outfits - from a floor-length gown with layers of cascading ivory tulle (pictured above, far left), to an above-the-knee feather skirt with a sweet, chiffon tank embellished with a contrasting black ribbon bow (pictured above, centre).

Despite the sportswear references and relaxed nature of some of the pieces, it's the details that make the collection truly special, explains NET-A-PORTER Buying Director Holli Rogers: "Jason knows how to apply just the right detail to make a look special without ever appearing heavy-handed. He knows how to render the most luxurious fabrications into exquisite gowns that are at once sophisticated and young. This bridal collection meets the needs of the modern bride: chic, fashionable, and timeless."
