My sister tied the knot in mid-January and the reception was at Bluebird on London's Kings Road (www.bluebird-restaurant.co.uk). She wanted the room to have a cosy, wintery - but not Christmassy - feel, so she avoided a red-and-green theme, opting for a burnt orange, pale green and white colour palette. Florist Jamie Aston (www.jamieaston.co.uk) created the gorgeous arrangements: low glass cylinder vases filled with small bouquets of tulips, roses and foliage which were dotted along the tables - and which, instead of going to waste, guests could take home at the end of the night. He sprinkled glittering tea lights in between the flowers and finished the look with candelabras topped with goldfish bowl-like glass globes. It looked magical (right) - and not a hint of Christmas in sight.
