To celebrate the Royal Wedding, the Royal Mint has commissioned British shoe designer Georgina Goodman to create exclusive couture wedding shoes (pictured) fit for a princess. Only a limited number are to be produced with the first pair being given to the princess-to-be herself, Catherine Middleton, making them the must-have shoes this wedding season.
For over 1,000 years, the Royal Mint has been commemorating special occasions in honour of the British Monarchy and has already created both the official UK Royal Engagement coin and the official UK Royal Wedding coin* in celebration of Prince William's imminent nuptials to Catherine.
Georgina's unique design (pictured) includes a lucky silver sixpence embedded within the front of the shoe, taking a modern twist on the traditional wedding rhyme: "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe." The body of the shoe is made from Italian suede and lace whilst the heel is embellished with Swarovski crystals. Each shoe has been hand-finished at Georgina's Mayfair studio, making each pair completely unique!
THE COMPETITION HAS NOW CLOSED
