One of my favourite parts about planning the wedding has been my obsessive hunt for the pretty details. I could spend hours pouring over blogs or the super-talented Polly Atkinson's White Zone and DIY Detail shoots in the latest issue of Brides, checking out the credits to see which online craft emporium or quirky boutique I can hit in my lunch hour. So I thought I would share with you a few of my favourites:
Papermash (www.papermash.co.uk) - a stationery lover's heaven. Vintage travel tags, vintage striped straws and essential red and white bakers twine are just some of my favourite finds.
Pipii (www.pipii.co.uk) - EVEN MORE striped straws in every colour under the sun, retro-striped sweetie bags and colourful cupcake wrappers and doilies.
RE (www.re-foundobjects.com) - vintage-style homewares and flea market-style finds. Where else can you find Mexican paper bunting rubbing up next to mix-matched glass cake stands, giant self adhesive letters and old-fashioned French glass milk bottles. Weird and very wonderful.
Hobbycraft (www.hobbycraft.co.uk) - the arts and crafts behemoth there is everything your crafty heart could desire, and then some: alphabet stamps, craft punches to give you luxury, professional-looking cut shapes and corners to basic invites and stationery and much much more. Go mad.
And don't forget the classics: Rymans, WH Smith, Notonthehighstreet.com and even your local haberdashery department are stuff full of wedding décor goodness. Happy shopping!
