Making Shoes

Finding my dream wedding dress is much harder than I'd imagined, but thankfully I've had less trouble pinpointing the perfect pair of heels.

Upper Street is a fabulous online service that lets you design your own shoes by selecting the shape and style, heel height, colour and material.

The process is super straightforward; you log on and click your way through the stages exploring different options as you go.

After much deliberation, I chose these gorgeous strappy sandals in a blush satin, which perfectly match the colour of the bridesmaid dresses and will coordinate with the bouquet I have in mind.

I held back on embellishments but if you are a bride-to-be that like things all sparkly, there are Swarovski gems to add, and pretty bows which would look great on a peep-toe design.

My made-to-order shoes arrived in a chic black box tied with a satin pink ribbon and I can't tell you how excited I was.

They are even more divine than I'd imagined… If only all wedding planning was this fun, and easy!
