We don't need to be told twice that wedding are brilliant; but it seems the rest of the UK seems to think so too!
New statistics released by the Office of National Statistics, show that marriage is coming back into fashion - as the number of weddings has risen by 3.7 per cent in a year, following 40 years of steady decline.
Analysts say the recession has caused a return to family values and a desire for the stability that marriage offers.
The statistics, which cover 2010, reveal that there have been almost 9,000 more weddings than the previous year. They also showed that brides are generally getting older too, waiting until their 30's to walk down the aisle.
