A year ago we were all amid the tremendous excitement of the royal wedding. We still didn't know what she was going to wear or that Pippa would become such a talking point - but we were all looking forward to Kate and William's big day...
Now, a year on we can still look back and remember it vividly. 'Where were you when Kate and William got married?' - A question we can all answer and will no doubt remember forever. But how will they celebrate their first wedding anniversary?
A St James's Palace spokesman confirmed that William and Kate will celebrate the weekend away from the spot light, in a low-key celebration of their own.
Prince William has just been on duty in the Falklands while Kate has been busy undertaking a host of official public duties, so it comes as no surprise that they will just want to spend it together.
But what about the gifts? Reports suggest that Prince William is planning to give his wife another piece of his mother's jewellery. The Queen is also expected to write to the royal couple to congratulate them.
Ahead of their actual anniversary, the Duke and Duchess will be kept busy and in the lime-light: they will attend the UK premiere of the documentary film African Cats at the BFI Southbank on Wednesday, followed by a reception at Goldsmiths' Hall to celebrate two Army teams the following day. They will also help launch the Imperial War Museum Foundation's campaign to create new First World War galleries at the London attraction in time for the centenary of the conflict in 2014.
