Christian Louboutin has unveiled his new interpretation of Cinderella's glass slipper, in celebration of Disney's re-release of the famous story on DVD and Blu-ray this autumn.

BRIDAL SHOES

Speaking about his design, Louboutin said: "Cinderella is not only an iconic character when it comes to beauty, grace and fairytale love, but also shoes. Her character and her story dictated the design to me, it was all there in the pages and the words of this tale."

The aisle-worthy heels are covered in crystals and feature two shimmering butterfly details that add a bit of fairytale romance to red-hot soles.

COUTURE WEDDING DRESS INSPIRATION

"The slipper is the magic wand of transformation, which conjures confidence, beauty and love," said Louboutin. "The dream is a major factor in my language of design. There are no limits in the world of fantasy and there is always a happily ever after."
