Brides-to-be searching for their dream vintage dress will be happy to hear that Circa Vintage Bride has unveiled their new 'Silhouette' Collection.
Showcased at the new Richmond-upon-Thames boutique, the new collection features the classic vintage vibe and evocative Hollywood glamour that characterises Astral Sundholm-Hayes' designs.
Commenting on what kind of bride she designs for, Astral said: "She is looking for a vintage inspired dress with classic lines and a touch of vintage detailing. Our wedding gowns have silhouettes reminiscent of the 1920's up to the 1970's to complement the brides figure whilst feeling truly comfortable in the silk gowns and looking absolutely beautiful too."
And beautiful they are. Made with the most wonderfully delicate fabrics (think silk satin, silk crepe, taffeta and delicate lace lined in silk) the collection offers something for all brides; whether you are looking for a full-length gown, a Bianca-style trouser suit or a 1950's prom skirt. And becuase the gowns are cut on the bias they have more movement than a traditional empire line gown can offer.
Astral's love of vintage clothing was instilled from an early age: her mother ran vintage shops in London in the 70's and 80's and she went on to source the world's leading designers and design houses with vintage goods from her Fulham base Circa Vintage.
Having studied fashion, and worked alongside Irish fashion designer Julian MacDonald to help create his fist collection, Astral endeavoured to solve the problem many vintage-loving brides faced. Combining her cutting skills and fashion knowhow, she creates ready-to-wear and bespoke gowns that will have even the most modern of brides yearning for a touch of vintage glam.
