Peter Langner is a designer who clearly loves a woman's body.
It seems that every dress in his SS collection was created to glide effortlessly across curves and contours often leaving the back exposed - ultimately feminine and wearable at the same time. A true celebration of the female form.
Floaty cap sleeves, soft chiffon draping, illusions necks and the occasional use of fine net overlay added to the sense of movement. The fishtail silhouette was a key shape as was one shoulder and soft pleating that sometimes ran the length of the entire dress. Some interesting necklines and more structural shapes kept the collection feeling fresh and fashionable.
Hair was loose and flowing or softly piled high. A total lack of jewellery or hair pieces let the dresses speak for themselves. A winged eye and soft berry lip were great on coloured dresses, a subtle pink gloss accompanied ivory gowns.
Peter made it clear that veils should be long sending out several that were dramatically edged in lace. And we adored his sparkle studded fingerless gloves.
Bouquets were sometimes loose and trailing with lengths of ribbon, sometimes more structural with shaped grasses.
You will undoubtedly see a lot to love here.
