As I write this, the team and I are still recovering from yesterday's epic, 12-hour cover shoot for the next issue of Brides. So much planning and creative thinking goes into making one issue, just like for your own wedding day - and for us, the cover is the grand finale. For you, your big reveal perhaps?

Readers often ask how it all comes together so I thought I'd give you a little insight into just what it takes.

TAKE A SNEAK PEEK AT THE LATEST ISSUE OF BRIDES

1 seriously carb-loaded meal (nothing happens until I've eaten!). 120 models at out casting session. 9 boutique appointments to choose 35 cover-worthy dresses. 18 bouquets commissioned. 20 people in the shoot crew (that's 5 models, 3 hairstylists, 1 make-up artists, 1 photographer, 1 photographer's assistant, 4 florists, 1 manicurist, 1 fashion director, 1 fashion assistant, 1 art director and 1 editor. 10 security guards protecting £2.3 million of precious diamonds and jewels. 28 pairs of shoes. 300 products in make-up artists Sarah Brock's kit. 235 accessories including wow veils, extravagant headpieces, pretty corsages, beaded belts and gloves. 2,100 shots taken. 1 incredible cover image.
