The Olympics have been brilliant - there is not debating that. It's not only been great for the country and our talented athletes - but also for all the couples who have become engaged on the Olympic grounds!
The latest engagement hotspot? None other than the eastern lawn of Park Live, presented by British Airways. There have been so many engagement proposals there that it has been renamed 'Marry Mound' (cue ohh-ing and ahh-ing).
Many couples flock to the hill spot near the Velodrome to have their photo taken under the iconic Olympic rings, and a few others bring a sparkling ring of their own, too.
Olympic personelle in the area estimate that at least two couples each day have taken the opportunity to get down on bended knee.
British Airways site manager Adam Juniper said about the Olympic-viewing area: "It has been a major destination for tens of thousands of fans coming here daily. We always knew it would be a hit for supporters - but we never thought it would become a romantic haven too!"
"The peak time for proposals has been around 7:30 and 8:30pm when the sun sets in the background, offering beautiful light and views across the Olympic Park."
With a few days of the Olympics left and the Paralympics yet to being, there will be plenty more opportunities for happy endings for couples heading to Marry Mound!
