Adele has confirmed that she is not married, following reports earlier this week that she had tied the knot with boyfriend Simon Konecki in a secret ceremony.

The singer took to Twitter last night to set the record straight, posting: "I'm not married. Zzzzzzz."

She and Simon Konecki are believe not to be married, but are expecting the birth of their first child very soon.

A month away from welcoming their first child, the British songstress has risen to fame for her soulful lyrics and beautiful voice.

The 24-year-old singer shocked us all earlier this year when she wore a ring that looked suspiciously like an engagement ring at the Brits, but spoke out to deny any engagement rumours then.

Now, a source close the couple told the American magazine Life&Style that the parents-to-be married in a secret ceremony.

ADELE'S ENGAGEMENT RING?

"Adele was dressed in classic attire and Simon looked very smart and joyous," said the unnamed source.

"She's an old-fashioned girl and can't wait to be part of a family unit. She just wants to focus on the baby and the man she loves."

This will be the second marriage for the Etonian entrepreneur Konecki, who divorced stylist Clary Fisher back in 2004.

HOW TO FAKE IT AS AN A-LIST GROOM

Adele and Konecki met through a friend Ed Sheeran while she was recovering from surgery on her vocal chords earlier this year. A whirlwind romance ensued and she announced her pregnancy on her blog in June.

The Grammy award-winning singer was pictured wearing a wedding band in July, but has kept all her baby and relationship news private otherwise.

No pictures of the secret wedding have been released nor has Adele's representatives confirmed or denied the wedding rumours.
