Pronovias owner and president, Alberto Palatchi has confirmed the new design team behind the Spanish bridal powerhouse.
A team of 60 designers will work together to create the Atelier Pronovias to replace the late Manuel Mota, who tragically passed away in January having served the label for over twenty years.
The design team will act as the bridal company's "collective creative director to strengthen, innovate and diversify the brand for brides on five continents," Palatchi said at a press conference in Barcelona.
Details of Mota's passing also emerged, revealing that the acclaimed designer committed suicide. Local sources believe the 46-year-old had a long history of depression and cited business pressures in a note he left behind to his family, according to WWD.
Palatchi denies any ill feelings between himself and Mota.
The new Pronovias collection is due to be unveiled in May of this year in Barcelona.
