It's official: Marriage makes us happy! (And we're not just talking about the team here at Brides HQ...)
A new study from the Office of National Statistics has revealed that marriage makes people happier than six figure salaries and religion.
According to the study, which surveyed 160,000 individuals across Britain, being married is 20 times more important to a person's well-being than their earnings and 13 times more important than owning a home.
We've long said that married life is better, but these new figures show that married couples are indeed happier than co-habiting couples and single people too.
Commenting on the findings was Dawn Snape, one of the authors of the report: "It [marriage] gives people a sense of stability, and a greater sense that their life is worthwhile."
