Tina Turner and her partner of nearly 30 years tied the knot in Switzerland last week and has now opened up about the wedding celebration itself.
Widely speculated as being a star-studded affair, the wedding celebrations were anything but tradition and awash with plenty of celebrity guests dressed in white.
The 73-year-old music icon described marriage as 'a wonderful place to be' in an interview with Hello! Magazine.
Putting her own stamp on the traditional wedding, the songstress wore a glamorous silk black and lime green Armani gown with Swarovksi crystals.
Her female guests, including Oprah, wore white and cream dresses while the men were instructed to wear black tie attire for the do.
Describing the type of ceremony they had, the practicing Buddist said she took the 'American tradition' she had grown up in and tailored it a little bit to herself.
Following the celebrations the happy couple jetted off to Italy to enjoy their honeymoon.

Tina Turner and her partner of over 20 years, Erwin Bach, have finally said 'I do'!
The 73-year-old singer and her 57-year-old German-born record executive beau tied the knot in a quiet civil ceremony at Lake Zurick in Küsnacht, Northern Switzerland "a few days ago," municipal official Hannes Friess according to E! News.
According to Swiss media, the pair are planning to celebrate the union at their Küsnacht manor this Sunday with an intimate Buddhist ceremony attended by 120 guests, including David Bowie, Eros Ramazzotti, Sade and Oprah Winfrey.
The guests have all been asked to wear white, while the bride will don a gown designed by Giorgio Armani.
A small stage has been set up for Sunday's ceremony and Turner and Bach are said to have sent out letters to their neighbours to apologise in advance for the noise the celebrations might cause.
This is the soul singer's second wedding, having been married for 14 years to the late Ike Turner.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
