Ashley Tisdale, best known for her role in High School Musical, has confirmed her engagement to Annie Automatic frontman Christopher French.
The pair was seen strolling through the Toluca Lake area of Los Angeles, with the 28-year-old's square-cut diamond engagement ring firmly on show.
French pulled out all of the stops for the proposal, which happened on the 103rd floor at the top of the Empire State Building in NY.
The couple started dating last year, after Tisdale split with boyfriend Scott Speer, while Christopher was previously linked with Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco. They met through mutual friends and revealed their relationship in December 2012, when they visited the Apple store in Los Angeles together.
Tisdale took to Twitter to express her joy at their engagement, and tweeted: 'Thank you guys for all your well wishes... Means so much to me. We're so grateful and excited. #imthehappiestgirlintheworld.'
It looks like the actress will be busy juggling wedding planning and work over the coming months, as she will appear alongside Nicolas Cage in the upcoming post-apocalyptic film Left Behind.
