The bride-to-be wants three more inches! I'm talking hair, of course, and more specifically Michael Van Clarke's 3''' more inches "life extending" range. I've got the pre-wash treatment, plus the shampoo and conditioner, and I'm sacrificing my pillow to the cause by soaking my hair in pre-wash product overnight.
At first I wasn't exactly sure how it worked, but I liked the sound of three extra inches sprouting from my head for uber wedding day locks. It wasn't until I went to no.1 Beaumont Street that things became clearer.
First, I must mention that a trip to the Michael Van Clarke salon is worth it for the massaging chairs alone, but mid Diamond Dry Cut I also learnt that this product doesn't miraculously cause hair growth, but it strengthens from the roots allowing your tresses to grow longer.
Okay, so it may not be a last minute pre-wedding fix, but all you brides out there with time to play with, give it a go ASAP!
You may have guessed that being back in reach of London salons was making me a little giddy - although I have recently discovered French hairdresser Benoît Poirier d'Ambreville in Chile so my Santiago salon drought may be over - but the other thing I must mention is something on which I have held my silence: The Dress.
The thing is - although I'm pretty sure GTB (groom to be) doesn't painstakingly read his way through my column (missing out, I know) - The Dress is the one thing thathasto be kept secret until The Big Day.
It's all about the wow factor, and it would be hard for the bridal party to coo with suitable enthusiasm if they already knew all about The Dress. I will say one thing though; keep an open mind when it comes to wedding decisions. At the beginning I had very strong opinions about what I loved and loathed, and have ended up doing so many U-turns I can't remember which way I started out.
So, I'm afraid I'm going to hold my silence on this one, but The Big Day draws ever nearer and I promise to post pics and divulge details in due time...
