The best designers make an emotional connection through their aesthetic and speak louder for you with their visual language than your most thunderous shout every could.

And that is one of the reasons why a wedding dress is such an important garment for any woman; it not only speaks about your wedding style, but reveals who you are and who you want to be.

And for us, Sophia Kokosalaki has nailed that down to the last detail.

Formerly of Diesel glory, the London-based designer has released her third bridal collection for modern brides.

A lineup of 36 dresses (long, short and inbetween), four daring trouser suits and four darling flower girl frocks make up her latest couture-infused offering.

Inspired in equal measures by the movement of sea waves and the classical shapes of antiquity, Sophia has given these everyday sources of inspiration a couture interpretation with the silhouettes made famous in the 30's and 50's.

Silk chiffon, silk tulle, gazaar, organza, jersey and delicate embroideries come together to embody the term 'modern romance' beautifully. Sheer inset panels, statement necklines and Sophia's signature draping make for drop-dead-gorgeous gowns, and while white remains the bridal staple, there are also a number of non-traditional black trousers to pair with white tops and even an ice blue and oyster short frock for those in search of something different.

You can still wear these gowns (and trousers) at a range of different kinds of wedding - from relaxed beach dos to glitzy city celebrations - safe in the knowledge that your gown will be something different and truly unique, like you.
