Disney and Harrods will auction off ten Princess-inspired dresses, created by world famous fashion designers this November.
Oscar de la Renta's Snow White gown, Missoni's Mulan dress and Valentino's Beauty and the Beast-inspired gowns will be auctioned at Christie's on November 13, in aid of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's charity.
The dresses were originally created for Harrods' Christmas window display last year and each represent a designer's interpretation of a Disney heroine.
In 2008, the Disney company pledged to raise £10 million for the charity and funds raised from this auction will go towards helping them reach that target.
As Mark Briggs, store image director at Harrods said: "These exquisite dresses are really one-of-a-kind fashion items from some of the most celebrated and collected designers this century. They caused a huge amount of excitement when they were first showcased in the Harrods windows and we're sure fashion aficionados around the world will be thrilled with the opportunity to own something so utterly unique."
Brides is also raising funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital, having pledged to raise £100,000 with our White Hot Hope campaign. Attend Brides The Show this October to see the most beautiful wedding dresses - including Coco Rocha, Zara Phillips, Darcy Bussell, Marcia Cross, Joan Collins and more - at The Iconic Wedding Dress Exhibition, in partnership with American Airlines.
