Why wear a kaftan when you can wear a kimono? That is what we want to know.

Kimonos are infinitely cooler, undoubtedly more stylish and eternally glamorous (in a rock'n'roll way) without sacrificing their fundamentally practical nature.

Enter: Koro Kimono - Brides Fashion Director's latest favourite find - and the only cover-up you'll need to pack for your honeymoon.

Koro Kimono is a brand new clothing line created by Sophie Hart-Walsh and Tara Postma. Together they make Japanese kimonos using African fabrics and (without sounding all UKIP) their garments are all made in Britain, which is pretty great.

Their designs are unisex and unique; only a handful of pieces are made in each fabric and style. They also take on special commissions should you want to customise your own robe or give it a personal twist.

WHY DO WE DO THAT? WEDDING TRADITIONS EXPLAINED

Aside from honeymoon use, these kimonos are perfect gifts for your bridesmaids too, and don't even get us started on how practical they would be to wear whilst you're getting ready on the big day…

A little bird tells us the Koro girls will be working on bridal kimonos soon, too! Watch this space.
