Fearne Cotton opens up about her non hen-do, her pre-wedding jitters and her dress...
"I didn't want a hen-do because I think they're disgusting." Those are Fearne Cotton's own words. Speaking to Glamour, on sale today, the radio DJ opened up about her non hen-do, her pre-wedding jitters and her dress…
Aside from thinking hen-dos are disgusting, the fashionista's gripes really come down to two things: sashes and penis hats. Can't say we blame her.
"So I had a non-hen hen-do and just went for dinner with 15 of my closest girlfriends at my favourite restaurant, a Swedish place called Lisa's on Portobello Road. And they gave me a big jam jar full of big fat lolly sticks with date night ideas written on them. The idea is to work our way through that, because it's important to have time for just the two of you."
Proving that all brides have the same worries pre-w-day, Fearne said: "A week before, I felt stressed worrying about stupid stuff like, 'Will anyone turn up? Will my hair look shit?' But on the day I felt totally calm. We wrote our own vows, Jesse's sister Leah did a reading, all the kids were there, everyone was crying. It was just the best day ever!"
Many picked up on the similarities between Fearne's wedding dress and a rather unique Jenny Packham design, but the design - and fabric choice - is much more sentimental to Cotton: "[Maggie Cooke] is this amazing woman who makes Ozzy Osbourne's stage costumes and makes lots of Sharon's outfits, too. We met for a coffee, I showed her my ideas and she'd brought all these fabric swatches and I kept being drawn to this really sparkly one. She told me it was an off-cut from back in the day when she'd been summoned to hem a dress for Diana Ross, who happened to be a really good friend of Jesse's mum [Krissy Findlay, who died in 2005]. I knew then it was the fabric I wanted for the dress. It was just a wonderful connection with Jesse's mum." So sweet!

Last night Fearne Cotton shared a video of the first dance from her wedding to Jesse Wood on Instagram, featuring more than your average wedding singer.
BRIT award winner Tom Odell serenaded the newlyweds with Lana Del Rey's hit Video Games. In the brief video, the couple is seen swaying along to the dreamy performance which included a live choir; the perfect moment for the loved-up pair to reflect on their big day. Fearne's caption sums up the mood; "I will dream of this moment for ever. Tom Odell singing Video Games live with a choir for our first dance."
We've already fallen for Fearne's gorgeous twinkling dress and now this celebrity wedding singer is at the top of our dream big day wish list! But for now, we'll make do with watching this swoon-worthy snippet. SH

Congratulations to Fearne Cotton and Jesse Wood!
The DJ presenter married Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood's son, Jesse Wood, at an intimate do in London on Friday.
Their low key ceremony at a registry office in Richmond was attended by a number of celebrity guests including Ronnie, Jo Wood, Tom Odell, the McBusted boys, Denise Van Outen, Keith Lemon and - of course - Holly Willoughby.
Fearne dazzled in a sparkling gown, designed for her by costume desiger and stylist Maggie Cooke, which she teamed with a loose, wavy bob and a sparkling hair band.
The bride-to-be spent Friday morning at The Ritz getting ready before making her way to her Richmond venue.
As her instagram pictures show, they had a wonderful time. Sharing a picture of their first dance, Ferne wrote: "The happiest day. So full of love. Family I love. Friends I couldn't live without. The soul mate. This moment I will never forget. Thank you Tom Odell for this magical moment."
Cotton and Wood first met in Ibiza in 2011 and have been together since. They have a 17-month-old son together, Rex.
This morning Cotton took to twitter to share her joy: "Good morning everyone from a very happy Mr and Mrs Wood." SR

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?
Most girls would say the day itself, or wearing that gorgeous gown and celebrating with their nearest and dearest. But not so for Fearne Cotton:
"I can't wait to be a wife. It just feels really solid. I want to have the same surname. I want to feel like we've done it properly," the radio presenter and bride-to-be said in her latest interview for Red magazine.
The 32-year-old fashionista is engaged to Ronnie Wood's son, Jesse. Together they have three children, Arthur and Lola from a previous relationship of Jesse's, and Ferne's first baby, Rex.
"Our house is mad at the weekends," she says. "We'll meet at the washing machine: Jesse will be washing Arthur's cricket outfit while I'm putting Rex's babygro in. We'll be like, 'See you in the bedroom before we pass out.'"
Cotton previously spoke about her wedding prep - or lack thereof. Despite loving pink hair, she won't be saying I do in a rosy gown.
She's also been taking mental notes for the celeb-weddings she and her husband-to-be have attended, particularly McFly singer Tom Fletcher's wedding speech (Jesse, you've been warned!)
The couple announced their engagement in December last year and have yet to set a wedding date. SR
