Three years and two children later, Jessica Simpson has finally married Eric Johnson.
The singer and the retired NFL player tied the knot on Saturday afternoon at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California.
According to People.com, the couple were "overwhelmed with complete happiness and love" following their vows.
"To say 'I do' in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives," they said.
More than 250 guests, including Ashlee Simpson and her fiancé Evan Ross, Jessica Alba, Cash Warren, CaCee Cobb and Donald Faison, watched on as Simpson and her fiancé exchanged vows.
The couple's son, Ace, who just turned 1, served as a ring bearer and their daughter, Maxwell, 2, walked down the aisle as a flower girl accompanied by Ashlee's 5-year-old son, Bronx.
Simpson started dating Johnson four years ago, when they were introduced by mutual friends, and the pair instantly fell for one another.
Johnson proposed in November 2010 with a ruby Neil Lane engagement ring, but their wedding plans were put on hold twice.
Simpson lost more than 60 pounds thanks to her Weight Watchers diet and strict fitness regime, getting her in shape for the big day.
This is the second marriage for both Eric, 34, and Jessica, 33. Simpson was famously married to Nick Lachey and divorced him four years later.
Mindy Weiss, wedding planner to the stars, was on hand (again) to help plan and execute Simpson's rustic-chic dream day.
Guests were asked not to bring mobile phones or cameras with them in order to protect the lucrative magazine deal signed with People magazine.
