Why wait for your first-year anniversary when you can celebrate one week of married life?

Nicky Hilton took to Instagram to rejoice her one-week, er, milestone by sharing a throwback snap of her and new husband James Rothschild on their wed day. The romantic post shows the newlyweds sharing a kiss, while a bridesmaid dressed in pale blue holds the bride's dramatic train.

The picture shows off Nicky's fairy-tale gown in all its glory. The stunning Valentino design is perfectly captured, with the super-sized train seemingly stretching the length of the bar in the background of the photo.

Completely wrapped up in their kiss, the new Mrs Rothschild and her husband seem oblivious to their surroundings or guests. Cute!

The heiress let the tender image speak for itself, adding a simple caption to the reflective post; "One week ago" followed by a heart emoticon. Adorable! SH

Nicky Hilton's fairytale big day dreams came true! Friday saw her tie the knot to fiancé and banking heir James Rothschild.

Held at the Orangery at Kensington Palace on Friday evening, the pair said 'I do' in front of family and friends, followed by an evening of lavish celebrations.

As expected, Valentino was the designer behind Nicky's spectacular white lace gown. Posting the design on Instagram, creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli revealed the gown "was composed with three different tones of ivory and silver guipure richly embellished with crystals. The high neck bodice stitched to a precious balloon skirt ending with a three meter long train. Covered with a long veil is enriched all around the edge with a precious vintage lace."

The new Mrs Rothschild paired the dress, worth an estimated £50,000, with a billowing veil, white satin Louboutins and a bouquet of white roses.

The seven bridesmaids, including Nicky's elder sister Paris and the groom's two sisters, wore custom-made Alice + Olivia powder blue chiffon gowns, each with a slightly different design.

On Friday afternoon, maid of honour, Paris, shared a series of Instagram snaps, revealing her younger sister's preparations including a close-up of bride's custom-made Louboutins, embroidered with the date and her new name: 'Mrs Rothschild'.

Florist Nikki Tibbles, founder of Wild at Heart, arranged the flowers for the do, using blooms including lily of the valley, roses, hydrangea, sweet peas, peonies, olive branches, rosemary, delphinium and stocks to decorate the venue.

Guests were treated to an array of sumptuous delights, including an exotic cocktail list, fresh seafood, locally sourced meat and a pudding bar which featured quintessential British favourites such as strawberry cheesecake and rhubarb and custard.

The bride's younger brother, Barron, posted a picture of his place setting on Instagram, which featured sumptuous white and pink roses and a luxurious satin napkin. The Daily Mail report that mirrored troughs ran down the middle of the top table, accessorised with storm lanterns and tea lights.

Following the wedding breakfast, speeches and cake cutting, the real party began when guests hit the dance floor in the transformed orangery.

Well, that sounds like one fantastic wedding! OdC

Nicky Hilton's wedding plans are turning into quite the fairytale!

According to the New York Post's Page Six, the fashion designer will wed her fiancé James Rothschild at Kensington Palace this summer 'at the palace's Orangery in front of hundreds of guests'.

Located next door to Prince William and Kate's apartment, the Orangery in Kensington Gardens is a location fit for a princess.

The nuptials have taken a fairytale theme since Nicky's bridal shower at Hillcrest Country Club in Los Angeles at the end of May. The bride-to-be shared pictures of the flower-filled do on Instagram, calling it a "fairytale bridal shower."

Our favourite detail is the larger-than-life fairytale book that reads "Once upon a time, Nicky Hilton and James Rothchild's love story..."

The heiress has since shared snaps of her bachelorette party from Miami using the hastag '#MrsRothschild.' The weekend-long celebrations featured a classic 'bridetobe' tiara and card games, with big sister Paris in attendance.

So what will the new #MrsRothschild wear on 10th July? Well if reports in Hello magazine are correct, Nicky will wear a bespoke Valentino wedding dress. We'll be glued to Instagram to find out! SH

Congratulations to Nicky Hilton and James Rothschild!

Us Weekly have reported that the loved-up pair got engaged last weekend in the supremely swoon-worthy location of Lake Como, Italy.

A friend revealed, "They are both really excited and incredibly happy."

Nicky, the Hilton heiress and younger sister to Paris, met James - the heir to the well-known European banking family - in 2011 at model Petra Ecclestone and James Stunt's wedding in Italy, making Lake Como the perfect spot to pop the question.

"They went on a romantic anniversary trip over the weekend," the source continued. "He took her out on a boat into the middle of Lake Como and he proposed, got down on one knee and everything. It was incredibly romantic and beautiful."

James went about proposing in an old-school style, the insider revealed; "Last month, he actually flew from England (where he is based) to the States to ask her parents for her hand in marriage!" What a gentleman!

And forget mini-moons, Nicky and James are celebrating the engagement with a pre-moon. "They are going on a road trip now throughout Europe and celebrating," the source added.

Nicky is recording their progress on Instagram, posting numerous sunny snaps of Milan, Lake Como, and Rome - including a selfie with the Sistine Chapel. We like her style! SH
