Having just landed in New York (and semi-arrived at our hotel) Bridal Market is already go-go-go! First up: Alfred Angelo and their collection of 2015 Disney dresses.
This season the design team behind Alfred Angelo introduced their latest princess: the highly anticipated Elsa from Frozen. 'Disney Princess' and 'affordable style' are, after all, their niche and the dress didn't disappoint!
On its first outing as a finished gown, the sparkling, ice-blue sheath Frozen dress glistens under the tiniest flash of light like a fresh dusting of snow, whilst the dramatic Watteau train adds a modern touch to the 'Snow Queen' wedding dress.
As with every other Disney design, each dress is inspired by the 'essence, style and personality' of a famous Princess.
The new collection also brings a new splash of colour, too; each hue perfectly encapsulating the Disney heroine. Most noticeably (and vividly) the bright red Snow White, the nautical green of Ariel's gown, the vibrant purple hue of Jasmine's modern jumpsuit and pale pink tint of Sleeping Beauty.
Most captivating of all - not least because of its slipper blue shimmer - is Cinderella's gown: alive with the sparkling radiance of the dazzling embellishment which adorns both front and back.
Charming mini-maids and beautifully fitted gowns with plenty of re-embroidered and embroidered lace feature heavily. Embellishment is most certainly the name of the game here. That and the rather prevalent Frozen-theme, naturally... The Olaf ice structures and faux fur favour muffs set the frosty tone from the start!
Overall, a wonderful display of affordable gowns produced with modern brides and a dream fantasy wedding in mind.
