Oscar de la Renta Creative Director Peter Copping's bridal 2016 collection for the label was everything Oscar would have wanted.
He didn't stray far from the aesthetic of the brand and presented a slick, chic, stylish, beautifully cut collection. Using pure white for several dresses (as Oscar always did) and ivory, there were touches of colour - pastel pink and blue embroidery, and a ribbon belt in raspberry satin.
Ballgowns were light, voluminous and airy in tulle and organza, while the slender silhouettes of trumpet and column gowns were kept soft and romantic in corded macrame and silk crepe.
Modern details came in the form of waterfall ruffles, lace corsetry panels and square low backs. And the showstoppers? A blush and white floral embroidered organza cocktail dress that ended way above the knee and a practically perfect white silk radzimar gown with floral lace décolletage and sleeves. Bridal perfection.
