What do you get when you take a Monaco royal, an Italian aristocrat and two seriously dreamy dresses? One glamorous wedding, that's what!
27-year-old Pierre Casiraghi, a grandson of Grace Kelly, married model and heiress Beatrice Borromeo, 29, in a lavish celebration over the weekend in Monaco.
According to the Daily Mail, the pair wed during a civil ceremony in front of 70 guests at the Salon des Glaces in the Pink Palace, before hosting an evening celebration at Hôtel de Paris.
And the bride wore not one but two dresses by couture design house Valentino. Beatrice chose an ethereal blush and gold chiffon wedding dress for the ceremony and changed into a backless white gown ahead of the evening celebrations.
This choice of designer is something of a family tradition, with Beatrice's three sisters also choosing gowns by Valentino for their wedding day.
The label, with the user name Maisonvalentino, posted a picture of the dress on its Instagram page, adding: "The House of Valentino is pleased to announce that Beatrice Borromeo wore a Valentino Haute Couture dress designed by Creative Directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, for her civil wedding with Pierre Casiraghi on July 25th at the Prince's Palace of Monaco."
Beatrice carried a subtle bouquet of country garden blooms, complete with a matching floral headband, which perfectly complemented the delicate lace cape sleeves of the gown. This whimsical look was replaced by an altogether more glamorous look for the evening; a full tulle skirt glimmered with silver embellishments, the bride's hair swept into a bun to reveal barely there spaghetti straps. Très chic!
The loved-up couple will now head to a Borromeon island near Switzerland, which is named after Beatrice's sister Isabella, Isola Bella, for a religious ceremony. The only question is: Will the bride make it a Valentino hat-trick?
Congratulations, Beatrice and Pierre!
