To the classical strains of a live string trio and with the late afternoon sunshine pouring through the windows of Canoe studios, the twinkle of crystals, embellishments and shimmer lace was pronounced.
With their feather-light touch, Marchesa presented an ethereal, romantic collection of sheer tulle tiered ruffles and delicate lace panels showing just a hint of skin.

Peek a boo cut-outs and airy open backs combined with pleated silk tulle and sculpted lace overskirts, corsetry was kept light with ribbon seams giving a boudoir feel to the grandest ballgown. Romantic accessories such as Filigree leather sandals, gold floral jewellery and rose-topped veils were given a touch of rock'n'roll with a bejewelled ear cuff.
As for my stand-out dress, it was a sexy yet sophisticated embroidered lace column with detachable sculpted peplum train. Which is your favourite?
