Spring and the romantic poetry of EE Cummings were the inspiration behind Ines Di Santo's Spring/Summer 2017 bridal collection, with 3D floral embroidery and floral print wedding dresses particular highlights.

The show opened with a dress appropriately called Cheer, a frothy, multi-tiered tulle ballgown with a matching jacket that swept and flounced along the runway. The most stunning parts of the collection were often the little details, with many of the dresses featuring baroque embroidery and delicate comet beading. Scalloped tier and ruffle skirts brought texture to the gowns, making them truly unique pieces.

As well as dramatic extended trains and sweetheart illusion necklines there were some unexpected surprises with sexy tattoo lace, cut-outs and illusion panels making an appearance.

Layering was a key theme throughout with an abundance of peplums, capes, boleros, jackets and overskirts, a welcome nod to British brides.
