With five different designers behind the JLM Spring 2017 bridal collection, it wasn't surprising that the dresses were diverse in colour and style.

They ranged from romantic tulle skirts through to a 60s mini but, while each designer put their own mark on the gowns, there were coherent themes. Lace was prominent throughout, making appearances on bodices, sleeves and around the neck.

All the dresses had intricate details with flower appliqués, silver beading and shimmering sequins which were used liberally and with impressive results.

Highlights for the traditional bride included a cream organza gown, decorated with an intricate flora design, and a silver tulle skirt with an illusion crystal bodice.

The tasselled gypsy cape and pastel-print mini dress provided a dramatic departure from the classic wedding dress and, though only for the more daring, certainly made a statement.
