It was a traditional catwalk show from Reem Acra. Models with tousled hair waltzed down the catwalk in the new bridal collection to a classic Bond movie soundtrack.
Make up was kept light and there was a notable lack of accessories, save for two intricate details. Each model had a strategically placed pearl on the face and one heavily bejewelled nail.
The collection paid homage to tradition with a modern twist: 'Where the trend begins and the tradition continues,' the designer said. A lace up bustier tied up in neat, narrow ribbon was a refreshing change to sheer illusion backs, while a full sparkly cape and long tulle train which could be switched up into a veil added drama and volume.
Highlights included a group of tiered organza ball gowns with embroidered lace bodices that literally floated down the runway.
