Pippa Middleton has married James Matthews in the society wedding of the year. The ceremony took place at just after 11:30am on Saturday 20th May at St Mark's church in Berkshire, with several members of the Royal family present. A reception will follow tonight in a glass marquee at the Middleton family home near Reading.

Pippa wore a bespoke Giles Deacon wedding dress to marry financier James Matthews (the designer was tipped to be her choice), a tiara by Robinson Pelham, and ivory pumps by Manolo Blahnik which featured pearl detailing.

Brides  Editor Jade Beer says: "I totally applaud Pippa for managing to achieve what so many brides struggle with - staying very true to their own sense of style on their big day. Pippa is classic, slightly understated and has a natural elegance - and all those traits have been perfectly captured in this dress. The guipure lace, cap sleeve and cutaway back detail keep the dress just modern enough. Pippa has also chosen a gown that is so wearable that I'm sure it will inspire the British bridal industry for many seasons to come. Anyone wanting to emulate this style should look to designers like Sassi Holford, Stephanie Allin and Phillipa Lepley who are known for their beautiful lace work."
