Terry de Havilland is arguably one of fashion's most celebrated footwear designers, so the opportunity to have your bridal shoes created by him is not one to be passed up. His new Couture range allows Brides to either customise an existing style with the colours and finishes of their choice, or to spend time with de Havilland in the studio, as he creates their perfect shoe. "The service is bespoke, which means that brides have a lot of input in the design of their shoe," de Havilland tells BRIDESMAGAZINE.CO.UK. "We are working on a shoe just now using the same lace that the bride's dress is being made of. We have fused it to some metallic leather so it will match her dress precisely."
You might think that a service like this could become dull for a designer with as much experience and imagination as de Havilland, but he has already received some very varied demands. "We created two pairs for two different brides as soon as the service launched and are working on more just now," de Havilland explains . "Strangely, both brides chose exactly the same shape, although they couldn't be more different, as one is in classic cream and gold and the other is in black and red with gothic tattoo jewellery!"
