Depends where, I have seen places booked up for four years. If your talking about an lush med island, in my experience they don't like to plan too many weeks ahead. You defiantly don't need to panic about time though:)
I'm hoping for a wedding 6th September 2014 and when i've been going to wedding fairs i've been fobbed off and told it's too early, however, i know of some venues that are planning for weddings way in advance! This day and age, there are waiting lists as long as a piece of string, so if you want to book venues, go ahead and try! Caterers and photographers etc might not be too interested yet but if you have a venue booked then the world is your oyster!! Good luck with it!
I am getting married in 2014 and started planning in March 2012 and found it difficult to get alot of things I wanted so I think plan as far ahead as you can. Plus if you book things now you will most likely get them at this years prices instead of the increase in 2016!
I think it's never too early if you're wanting to be organised and guarantee your first choices. I'l getting married in Sept 2013 and started booking receptions and registrars in early 2012 feeling like I was being a bit too premature. But then my married friend admitted that she'd started planning her wedding years before, just to make sure she got what she really wanted.
Yes I think 2 years will be enough for you, however I do reccomned saving from now and just have a vauge idea of what you want.
