The ceremony was lovely - I walked down the aisle alone to a Welsh male voice choir singing Hallelujah (the first song Steve had heard me sing). The Ballroom looked stunning with lovely chair covers and sashes for the guests to sit on. Every guest had an order of the day and a small pouch filled with tissues (just in case), bubbles (as confetti was not allowed) and a hand warmer (for when we went outside for the photos). There was a massive cheer when we got married which was great! After the service, we had our arrival drinks and canapés before having our photos done. The best man and Steve had arranged to release doves as a surprise which was such a lovely gesture, and gave us some great photos! The wedding breakfast room was the ballroom again. The cake was amazing, it was five-tier with the 2nd tier from the top being a glass bowl with butterflies and lights in. It had four different flavours, and looked incredible. We had a harpist accompany the delightful four-course meal. Our guests had personalised shot glasses as favours and I made the centrepieces and the place names, along with the table plan. We had a night full of laugher with a fun wedding quiz and caricaturist before the dancing started. The wedding was such a beautiful and perfect day for what we wanted. We wanted to make it a personal day for us, our friends and our family. To make them feel comfortable all day we made hampers to go in each toilet of things that they might need through the day. We also made a hamper of gloves, umbrellas, and scarfs to go by the front door in case it got cold outside. We also had a "guess the first dance" competition going on amongst the guests, which my Mum ended up winning (it wasn't a fix I promise). These proceeds were donated to the MNDA, which is a charity close to our hearts. We were so lucky to have Juliet Eden as our photographer, we came up with many ideas together to make the photos "funky" and represent Steve and I as a couple, which they have perfectly.
