Garden Wedding

On the 2nd of June this year, a Humanist wedding ceremony took place in my parents beautiful garden with a hand made canopey overhead and with the ceremony at the foot of a giant birch tree on a stage my dad hand built. I arrived riding side saddle on the family's stunning black horse, Wilson, with bridesmaids walking either side, and with a string quartet playing Handel in the background. The guests were seated on white wooden chairs with hand made and decorated wicker hearts, by my mother in law, hanging from each one. Garden games were then played on the lawn while sushi canopes and champagne were served, whilst the photographs (with the horse included) were taken in front of the house. The wedding breakfast and ceilidh took place in a beautiful marquee in a field in front of the house and a ceildh band played into the small hours. A pic n mix bar and table 'mad-lib' quizzes kept guests entertained, and an unorthodox bridesmaid and bride speech provided amusement!‏
