Vintage/Eastern European wedding

Justin and I met online through match.com in May 2008. We quickly moved in together and a year later he proposed but we soon discovered that I was pregnant and we put our wedding on hold until October 2010. Justin is a militaria and vintage enthusiast and I'm originally from Bosnia so we decided to make our low budget wedding a 1940s style tea party followed by Eastern-European party. We had a modest ceremony at Cambridge registry office ceremony followed by reception at a barn attached to a gastro pub by the river in Cambridge. We had fun picking up crockery at car boot sales and putting together our own playlist and menu (high tea followed by fish and chips and then kebabs and other Slavonic delicacies in the evening), and choreographing our first dance: a Lindy hop to Paulo Nutini's Pencil Full of Lead. Guests enjoyed some traditional accordian playing in the evening. Our photographer, Joanna Millington, captured the day beautifully.
