As Tom is an ex-marine we married in the Royal Garrison Church. We had a choir sing along with the hymns & sang Jason Mraz’s ‘I’m Yours’ while signing the register. My sister read a poem I had written& as I am a teacher,I asked 5students to recite a poem. Everyone commented on how personal the service felt. A marquee reception in our friend’s garden followed. We arrived to the sound of a steel band, glasses of Pimms& an abundance of canapés. The rain stayed off long enough for Damian Bailey to get some stunning photos. The food was exceptional! We had 17 children at the wedding, so I made activity packs to keep them entertained! My dad had everyone in stitches with his fitness jokes (Tom is a personal trainer &owns Commando Fitness). Tom had two best men who did a superb job of entertaining with their selection of incriminating photos! For our first dance a live band sang Bruno Mars’ ‘Marry You’. The vodka luge & flip flops for guests to wear when their feet hurt were a great touch!
