Stephen and I had a relaxed country wedding in Guernsey which was a DIY family affair. I made 250 metres of bunting (with help from parents and sister in law), covers for the hay bales, tablecloths and slipcloths using blue gingham and floral material. Each table had a bottle of sloe gin made by us the previous winter. Luggage labels were used for place names along with ribbon and lavender. Favors consisted of forget me not seeds in brown bags from www.weddinginateacup.co.uk. My brother (www.pattierney.co.uk) designed our stationary which was made from recycled kraft paper. Wedding signs were made from drift wood found on the beach. The menu was written on a home made blackboard and the table plan was assembled using a frame, kraft paper and bakers twine. Our florist (Ros Searle) placed teapots, vases, wash basin, galvanized buckets and jam jars on each table and around the marquee filled with wild flowers and greenery. Thank you to our photographer Nick Despres (www.nickdespres.com).

Great pictures and great inspiration for Weddings! Love the idea of colourful bunting leading the way to the reception :)
Hi Michelle Your wedding looks amazing. I'm trying to organise a similar style wedding if you have any tips/advice? Thanks, sinead.
